Junior Philatelists of America There are many stamp organizations in North America today national, state and local. The major societies are naturally operated by and for adult collectors. Young people may be allowed to join, but usually are not given an active role. In the JPA, the situation is different. It is a group run by and for young people, age 18 and under. Junior members operate services, write for the publication, serve on study groups and committees and elect their own officers.
