Question/Topic: Why barcode scanning is not working?

  • Open Windows Notepad application.
  • Scan the barcode from the label.
  • Check the position of the cursor.
    Correct: the cursor blinks after the scanned number.
    Not Correct: the cursor blinks at the beginning of the new line.
    (the scanner generates Carriage Return code (new line code), the same as the Enter key is pressed on the keyboard, check the scanner manual and set the scanner so it will not generate the code)

Not correct, the cursor blinks at the beginning of the new line:

  • Open Check In/Out window.
  • Check if the Item Barcode field is the same as the field where you entered barcode numbers.
Check the selection in the Item Barcode field box:

Question:
I am working on creating my database. I wanted to try the bar-coding, and I'm having difficulties. I have given the book a barcode number and created my labels, I tried using the scanner to check out a book and it's not working. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong.
