To get a better idea of the flexibility the Designer offers, it would be a good idea to look through the available help topics. It will also contain answers to any other questions you may have and make the next step, Analyzing your data, much easier. After reading the help, you will quickly realize the flexibility and many options the Designer offers.


Beginning with a chosen Field name, you then have the option of selecting a field type and size for each field. In addition, each field type has a selection of several data entry controls. Don't become repelled by all these different selections and options. Once the template is created to match your specific needs, these data entry controls become extremely useful. They make the Organizer Deluxe quick and easy to use, while at the same time satisfying all your organizational needs.


We will make this clearer by using a real example in this tutorial, which we will refer to in the later steps as well. Let us create an Inventory organizer for instance. So for example, if you would like to store, say the technical support number for a certain tool you would select Character as the field type and Phone Number as the data entry control. Once you have made this simple selection, when you click on the button, in the Organizer Deluxe, the Dial dialog box will be automatically displayed. If your computer is equipped with a modem you can simply and quickly dial the number that is contained in the Phone Edit Box (or any other number), without wasting time opening separate dial applications or dialing through your phone.
