Question/Topic: Art gallery software, sale transaction.

1. Open Sales database (create sale transaction):

• On the File menu, click Load Database. Select Sales database and click Load
• Click New Record button, enter or select date, transaction type, customer name, and note
• Customer Details data field displays details of the selected Customer
• Click Save Record to save initial information
• Click items tab to add items

2. Add items to a sale transaction (items tab):

• Click items tab to display Items table field;
• With the right mouse button click on the Items table field to display popup menu
• Click Add Items command

3. Add/Edit Items window:

• Bottom table: lists all items in your gallery (from Artworks database)
• Items Selected table: items selected that will be included in the sale transaction
• Top Form: displays details of the selected item (could be from artworks table or items selected table)
• To add item:
  - use filter, search, or scroll bar to find the item
  - when item is found click on it, details are displayed in the form
  - modify discount % (discount value is calculated automatically
  - enter note
  - click Add to add item to a sale transaction
  - repeat item selection procedure or click OK

4. Add tax, shipping, framing cost, ...:

5. Add/Edit payments

• Click payments tab to display Payments table field;
• With the right mouse button click on the Payments table field to display popup menu
• Click Add Payments command

5. Print receipt/invoice

• On the tool bar, click Print Receipt button
