   Database Management FAQ : Database/Data Table : Install New Solution

Question/Topic: How to install a customized solution (delivered in an email)?

Install customized database:



  • a new solution is sent to you in an email
  • save the attached file to a folder on your computer (1)
  customized database solution


  • start Organizer Deluxe
  • on the Advanced menu click Maintenance
  • click Restore/Verify (1)



  • enter YES
  • click OK



  • select the folder (location) where you saved the file (1)
  • select the file (2) and click Open (3)



  • verify the file name (1)
  • click Next (2)



  • select Restore to New Database (1)
  • click Start Restore (2)



  • review message
  • click OK



  • close Maintenance window
  • on the File menu click Load Database
  • the new database has the name in the following form: Solution (data_#.dbf
  • select the file (1)
  • click Edit



  • select and delete the old name



  • enter new name
  • enter database description
  • click OK



  • select the new name (1)
  • click Load (2)
