Question/Topic: How to search library records with a barcode scanner?

The Bar Code Search function helps you to locate the record which has been assigned a particular barcode (or any number in the text form). Simply scan the barcode (or enter manually) and the program finds the record automatically.
On the Search menu click Bar Code Scanner Search.

Bar Code Field (1.): select the field that stores a bar code value (or a unique catalogue number).
Time Delay for Auto-Search (2): enter the time delay after which the search starts. Enter 0 to start search manually (click Go).
When Record Found Select This Field (3): select which field is active when the record is found.
Find This Bar Code (4): scan or enter manually the bar code (catalogue number) to search for.
Auto Clear (5): define the time delay after which the value of the Find This Bar Code box is cleared. The box is ready to accept another bar code.
