How to import/transfer database(s) from your old Organizer to Organizer Deluxe?

INSTALL ORGANIZER DELUXE

Download any Organizer Deluxe.
Install the Organizer Deluxe on your computer to a new directory.

IMPORT/TRANSFER DATABASE

Start the Designer Deluxe program.
Click on the Import push button.
Go to the directory where your old organizer is installed. Example: C:\YOURORG\DATA; C:\YOURORG\ - directory contains executable files C:\YOURORG\DATA\ - this directory contains database files, OPEN this directory
Database structure is stored in the following files: data.dbf, data_01.dbf, data_02.dbf the number of data_0n.dbf files is equal to the number of separate databases created with your Organizer.
Select data.dbf file. (Repeat the whole import/transfer procedure for all data_0n.dbf files)
Import function creates new database and copies the contents to the Organizer Deluxe DATA directory
Enter the name of your database in the New Database window.

CREATE DATA FIELDS LAYOUT

The import function does not create the layout of your data fields. You have to create the layout manually.
Click on the Create/Modify Data Fields Layout push button.
Select the newly imported database file in the Select Database window.
Click on the OK push button.
The Field Layout Designer window is displayed.
Right side of the window displays the list of all database fields. Left side of the window displays the field layout pages. Initially there is only one empty page: Part 1

How to create Data Entry Layout

Select data fields by clicking on the data field check boxes on the left side of the window.
Depending on the data field type you will be given a set of data entry controls to select from. To have the same controls please use help TABLES listed at the end.
When your page is full you can create a new page for your data entry controls by clicking on Add Page button.
For each page you can select if data entry controls should be displayed in one or two columns (Page Layout radio buttons).
After creating a data entry layout click on Save button.
Exit Designer Deluxe. Start Organizer Deluxe. Click on the Load push button and load your database.
Rules: A) Order of data fields (controls) in not important. B) You do not have to include all data fields in the layout. C) You can include all data fields on one entry page or just on any number of data entry pages. D) You can modify Data Fields Layout.
Before you import/transfer any database from your old organizer we suggest to read help topics about Designer Deluxe and create sample database(s). Just for practice.
