Question:
How can I Restore my database from the backup files?

Solution:

Here is what you have to do in order to Restore your database from the backup files:

  • Locate BACKUP directory (underneath DATA directory), for example C:\32IO22\DATA\BACKUP.
  • Copy your backup files into BACKUP directory (decompress the files if necessary).
  • Start the Organizer.
  • Run Advanced/Maintenance/Restore function.

The above procedure works only if your data file is called DATA.DBF (and DATA.DBT). If you had more than one database your data files could have the following names: DATA_1.DBF, DATA_2.DBF, ... If this is the case, before you run the Restore function you have to select the proper database using the Load function.
