Book Description
From School Library Journal Featured quotations are taken from popular, classic, and award-winning books for children and organized by author, traditional sources (Arabian Nights, fairy and folktales, and nursery rhymes), keyword, and title. The
keyword section includes places, characters, and common nouns. It is questionable how many people will actually look for quotes under "backwards" or "ballpoint" and this section involves flipping back to the author section. Cross-checking yielded some
disappointing results. The well-known, foreshadowing first sentence of Charlotte's Web, "Where's Papa going with that axe?" is not cited under Papa or axe. Although Mr. McGregor's garden, mentioned in the introduction, is referenced under the word
"garden," it does not appear as an entry for rabbit, McGregor, or Peter. For those who need a quotation index based on children's books rather than the more adult references found in standard titles, this may fill that need. Others will consider it a
luxury purchase.

Product Description: Not just an anthology, this extensive index offers keyword, title, and author name access to more than 1,800 quotations from nearly 500 classic,
award-winning, and popular works for children. Pearls of humor and wisdom from authors such as the Brothers Grimm, Dr. Seuss, Judith Viorst, and Shel Silverstein are at your fingertips. Very few quotations have been indexed in other works, making this a
unique tool to find that elusive quote.
