Question/Topic: Databases in the library system.

On the File menu, click Load Database to display Load Database window, databases listed are :

database name	note
_ReadMe1st	includes help topics
Borrowers (Patrons)	enter information about people who will check out (loan) and check in (return) items from/to your library
Library (Items)	enter information about library items
Loan Database	entries to this database are created/modified automatically when check out and check in transactions are processed in the Loan/Return window
Reservation Database	entries to this database are created/modified automatically when reservation transactions are processed in the Reservation window
WorkingItems	use this database for entering new library items; when items are ready for circulation move them to the Library database
Z_Fines	entries to this database are created/modified automatically when the fine feature is enabled

Notes:

• Library administrator only enters and modifies data in 2 (3) databases: Library, Borrowers, and WorkingItems(optional).
• There is not limit on the number of records (library items, patrons, library transactions). The practical limit is determined by the amount of free space on your hard disk and by the speed of your hardware (PCs and network). We have tested the software with up to 100,000 records.
