Book Card Catalog, School and Private Libraries

We have multiple locations with school/private libraries containing up to several thousand or even over 10,000 books. We still use traditional card-catalogs and a stamp/sign-out system without patrons using library cards. So this software enables us to document all our books, along with the information which we print on catalog-cards, spine-labels and card-pockets. We have label templates created for each of these so we can easily print from each record.

We needed to upgrade from Small Library Organizer Pro software which was increasingly buggy in Windows 10, and Handy Library Manager has more and different functionality than required. We found Book Organizer Advantage to be much better suited for us, as we still use legacy card-catalogs and a sign-out card system. Since we had large amounts of existing data in Organizer Pro, we simply exported at text-files and then imported into Organizer Advantage.

Yes, we are aware of the auto-catalog functionality using ISBN and have used that some to save time entering data. I even modified one of your scripts to add an "LOC LCCN" lookup where there's more than one record in the LOC under an ISBN-number. The program would pull up the ebook record instead of the book, but the LCCN-number search allows us to specify the book.

Anyway, for the most part we are happy with the software and appreciate the timely support when we have questions.
