How to Restore Your Organizer Advantage Database from a Backup

This guide explains two restore operations:

  1. Restore Database: This option replaces the current FDB file with a backup file.
  2. Restore Data Folder: This option extracts the contents of the ZIP file back to the data directory.

Additionally, it provides instructions on how to identify the correct backup file by its name and date, as well as guidance on when to use each restore option, including transferring data to a new computer.

The Organizer Advantage backup procedure creates two backup files:
FDB file: contains your data. You can restore data from this file.
ZIP file: is a compressed (zipped) file that includes all files and sub-folders from "C:/adv_Your_solution/data/db/" (report, label, configuration, customization, image files)

Verify database name. The same name is used in the backup file.
