Our library management system for small non-profit organizations does not have any limitation. It includes all library features.
The price is based only on the installation license (1 PC or 5 PC's).
You can enter unlimited number of items and borrowers (some software companies limit their basic packages to 1000-2000 items).
All circulation transactions are supported: check in, check out, reservation, renew.
Our solution gives you full barcode support. You can print barcode labels. You can process check in/out with a barcode scanner (some library software vendors don't support loan rules in basic packages).
If you are not ready yet with a bar-coding technology our library supports manual processing.
All additional library modules are included: library search, library auto cataloguing, separate check in/out module. Extra modules let you assign library administration and management tasks to volunteers and users.
You can define loan rules: maximum number of items per user or item type, loan periods per user or item type, and fines (some library software publishers don't support loan rules in basic packages).
We appreciate and listen to your feedback and we use it to improve our application. New useful library features. June 2017:
I'm with a small U.S. nonprofit and we're installing a small library at a community center for AIDS orphans in Africa. It looks like you Handy Library Manager is your latest product, but Small Library Organizer Pro looks like it fits the bill. Do you have
a.) a recommendation for this small library?
b.) non-profit pricing?
Handy Library is a perfect choice, please review feedback. We offer discount for non-profit institutions. There is a non-profit one location license that let you install the software on the network on unlimited number of computers. We also offer discount for libraries that offer review of our software or link on their site.
We're a small non-profit with a small library. We know we want to purchase Handy Library but just not sure which package. It's likely 1 or 2 people will be mostly responsible but we'd like to be able to access the program on multiple computers if necessary.
To access the program on multiple computers you need a network license. We offer discount for non-profit institutions.
What does it mean to have one location license? We are a nonprofit and looking at applying for a grant. we can't afford to keep adding to our cost. we need to have a one time payment.
One location license lets you install the program on your network(s) and/or on unlimited number of client computers within the same location (address). It cost $200 extra.
