HTML Report Wizard: Template Folders and File Locations

Custom HTML templates used by the wizard are stored in a table-specific subfolder under the view directory. This page explains where templates are saved, how to use the HTML Reports editor to create and edit them, and how to save your own templates from an external HTML editor into the correct folder.

You can create your own templates using any HTML editor. Once you are satisfied with the layout, insert the appropriate keyword tags for your data fields. Templates can be saved in any folder you choose.

We create simple HTML templates in the HTML Reports window. The HTML Reports feature provides easy access to keyword tags. For best results, use the ".htm" file extension. Template files will be stored in the "c:\advantage-folder\data\db\view\TABLE-NAME\" directory.
