In some situations you can use data from another table through the use of the common field and the master detail field. In this sample the CUSTOMER field in the QUOTES table is the selection box that lets you select a customer from the CUSTOMERS table. After the customer is selected the DETAILS field displays additional customer information (this information can be used in reports and on custom documents).
In the quotation system there is a customer table (1) where you can store information about customers. The values of the CUSTOMER (2) data field will be used in the QUOTES table.
In the QUOTES (1) table there is a CUSTOMER (2) selection box that displays customers from the CUSTOMERS table. After the customer is selected the DETAILS (3) field displays additional information (master-detail data field).
When the customer is selected and the quote details are entered you can print the quote with the customer full information (1).
