Handy Equipment/Tool Tracking allows you to create multiple (independent) equipment tracking databases. Examples of separate systems: Tool Crib, Office Equipment, Manual/Document Equipment.

Multiple databases, if created, don't share any data. All data has to be entered separately.

On the Maintenance tab, click Create New Database.

Type a name for the new database and then click Create.

This function will create a separate database system with all needed tables (Equipment Inventory, Borrowers, Loan, etc.) and separate data options (reports, labels, templates).

Question: Question of the day...is there a way to set up a template for cataloging audiovisual records? Does it need to be a different database?

Answer: You can use equipment catalogue to inventory all items. Use TYPE or CATEGORY to define the item type (computers, dvd players, drills). You can also manage your audiovisuals in a separate database. The above topic explains how to create multiple databases.
