Is Handy Library Manager a hosted database or do we host the database on our servers?

I'm looking for a library system to use at our primary school in UK. Someone mentioned Handy Library? Is this a hosted database or do we host the database on our own servers? After the initial purchase, do we need to continue paying a fee each subsequent year as it's not clear from your website? Or is an initial purchase and then we self-host and manage the system? We are currently using a much more expensive system which we can't justify the cost for, but i really don't want to lose the use of a library system which encourages the children to read.

Our software is installed and managed on a user machine with Windows. We don't host the software and we don't host the databases.

We offer hosting of the library cloud version if the user does not have a web server computer and cannot install the application in house.

There is one time cost for the software. Upgrades cost extra and are optional. Upgrades within the same version number are free
