School needs textbook tracking software.

We need a program to track textbooks - we are looking at your school equipment software and want to know what else we would need with your software to make this work. Do we need to purchase a scanner? Can we use any scanner to check out books and check them back in...do we print out labels to put on our textbooks? Please advise - it appears that this may work I did download the Library Manager and it looks great!!! So as long as we get a compatible label printer and scanner it will work with the system/ we have 1500 students at our school - so we are not that large - but we do have lots of books and it has been difficult tracking books.

I work for a grant funded program and we loan textbooks to our participating students. We have approximately 40 classes per academic year and 24 copies of each textbook. Do you have a program that can track multiple copies of textbooks and loan/return of the books? We do not mind manually entering who borrowed or returned a book (scanner not necessary), but would like a better system of tracking books. Also, would like to have a place to note who the professor is and what class the book is for.
