We are a small school - 200 students, with a large library - over 11,000 books. I expect to grow to 15,000 books. Currently, we use another library system. I think the Handy Library software will work for my Library. So I have a few questions about Handy.
I am very interested in purchasing Handy Library Manager. We are a small non-profit Catholic school. We would like to use the network version with multi-users. We will have 3 to 6 users on the network at one time. We would like to include 1 year of Tech support. Can you tell me what this would cost?
Also, I will be moving my catalog of 11,000 books from Follett Destiny. Is this a difficult process? What format you need my data in. Do you import complete MARC records? Can I import all my books from Destiny?
Also, I'd like to use my existing Barcode numbers for my books. My barcodes start with 500100 and progress up from there. Can your system support these numbers? I don't want to print out all new barcode labels -- too expensive and time consuming!
I will use the software on a network with at most 2 users checking books in/out and one computer dedicated to searching our catalog. How much would that cost?
Is the $59.95 support option for tech support? Does it include software updates?
Do you use entire MARC records or some subset of the MARC record?
My books have standard type barcodes. Can I use the existing barcodes with my unique book numbers? Or would I have to reprint all new barcodes?

With the non-profit network version (extra $200) you will have unlimited network access.

Handy Library supports import from MARC files, the software does not support export to MARC data format.
