Transfer Handy Library system to a new computer

When you install the software on a new computer, it's a good opportunity to upgrade to the latest version. If your current version is one level or more lower than the latest version, you will need to purchase the upgrade. However, if the main number is the same, then the new installation does not require any additional payment.

To transfer the Handy Library Manager software to your new computer, you will need to follow these steps:

Download the software from our website and install it on the new computer.
Start and exit the program to ensure the installation is successful.
On the old computer, open Handy Library Manager and navigate to the Backup tab. Click on "Backup Database" to create a backup of your library data. Then, click on "Backup Data Folder" to back up your reports, labels, book images, and other setup files. You will find two backup files in the c:\handy_lib\backup\ folder.
Transfer these two backup files from the old computer to the new computer using a flash drive or any other preferred method.
Save the two files in the same folder (c:\handy_lib\backup) on the new computer. If you installed the software in a different folder, use your folder name.
Start Handy Library Manager on the new computer and navigate to the Backup tab. Click on "Restore Database" and later click on "Restore Data Folder" to complete the transfer process.
Following these steps will ensure that you successfully transfer the Handy Library Manager software and all associated data to your new computer.
