Question: 1. How can I upload my catalog online or add it to my website?

Answer: To upload your library data online for public viewing, you need an active yearly support subscription. With a valid support plan (which costs $59.95 per year), you can upload your library data once per month. For more details on setting up your web search, please refer to our Web Search OPAC guide.

Question: 2. Is there any other option for creating an online catalog (OPAC)?

Answer: Yes, there is an alternative method, though it is only practical for very small libraries with fewer than 3,000 items. We can generate a static HTML page featuring ready-to-use search items. If you have an active support subscription, please contact us, and we will provide additional details on setting up this type of library web search. Contact us.

Question: 3. How do I update the Library Category for multiple books at once?

Answer: If you need to replace an existing category value with a new one across multiple items, you can use the Search/Replace feature.

If you need to assign a new category value to a group of randomly selected items, follow these steps:
1. Use the "Print Marker" feature to flag the specific items you want to change.
2. Define a search filter to display only those flagged items.
3. Use the Replace feature to update the category for all currently displayed items.

If you want to change an existing category value to a new one, you can use the search and replace feature.

Question: 4. What is an ISBN?

Answer: The term "ISBN" stands for International Standard Book Number. It is a unique, numeric commercial book identifier that distinguishes one specific book edition from another. This standard allows booksellers, libraries, and distributors to manage and catalog books effectively.

Question: 5. I am a retired librarian volunteering with a small non-profit. We have 1,400 items (books, journals, and links to PDF articles). Many old books lack an ISBN, so I need customization. We are self-serve and do not need circulation tracking, but we do want a hosted OPAC. Do you provide this?

Answer: If your library operates on a self-serve basis and you do not require circulation management features like: check-ins, check-outs, loan tracking, or borrower accounts. We recommend looking into our Book Organizer Advantage platform. We offer a wide range of highly customizable book cataloging solutions through Organizer Advantage that do not bundle heavy circulation features. Please contact our support team with your specific needs.
