Question: Can we enter patron names by typing the information or how do we enter each student? And then will they have their own barcode we can scan each time they check out a book. Also, Do patron barcodes need to be different from book barcodes? Or do they have a different pre-fix? I noticed there was a P in front of the student numbers when adding them. We previously used Athena for our library and the school library flooded last year so we are needing to purchase another program.

Answer: You can type in the patron names into our system. Additionally, you can import the data from the spreadsheet file (text files; we assist with the patron or library data transfer). Patron and book barcodes should have a different values. The pre-fix is optional. The user decides if to assign the pre-fix to library barcode numbers.
