Handy Library Manager software, version 4.4 or up, supports the new "missing items" feature. We added this feature in response to several user requests.
With the "missing items" feature, you can mark your library items as missing in various software parts. This feature comes in handy when a borrower cannot locate an item but is unsure if it is lost. You can set the "is missing" status in the check-in window in such cases. Additionally, when all library items are returned at the end of the year, you can review all overdue items and mark them as missing. Once the items are marked as missing, you can quickly review them again and move them to the lost table.

When an item is marked as MISSING, the program will set two values:
- IS_MISSING status will be set to "Y"
- MISSING_FROM value will be set to the current date
